In l956 a group of Mexican entrepreneurs establish a corporation named "Química Simex" in greater Mexico City The company initiates manufacturing diethyl ether, positioning itself as a reliable supplier of raw materials for the pharmaceutical industry. Thirty years later, the company joins the Monfel group adopting its current name: "Industrias Monfel, S.A. de C.V.", with an expansion plan that called for the erection of a modem and efficient manufacturing plant in San Luis Potosí, Mexico.
